s t e r i l i t y I care about your health and safety ~ |
Appropriate precautions are always
taken to prevent exposure to disease-causing microorganisms during all procedures.
I adhere to established Universal Precautions Procedures, including the wearing
of disposable medical gloves for all client contact. Instruments are
sterilized prior to use in an Autoclave, which uses heat AND pressure for complete
sterilization.
My piercing needles are, of course, single use.
The marker used in the piercing procedure (even on unbroken or non-mucous membrane
skin) is single use. I work from a sterile field, and use only products from
single-use disposable packets. Supplies are handled only with freshly gloved
hands, and are wiped down before each procedure with approved hospital disinfectant/cleaner.
My workstation is completely wiped down at the beginning of the session, and
after each client with hospital-grade hard surface disinfectants.
Jewelry is also sterilized before use. When it is individually packaged, once
the contents are opened onto the sterile field, gloves are changed.
The utmost care is taken with each client to assure an aseptic procedure.
I pierce many medical professionals who routinely comment that I am much more
stringently hygienic than the hospitals and medical and dental offices in which
they work!
There is no more cause for concern of disease transmission to any client of
mine as a result of piercing than there would be from donating blood or plasma.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
