Bryan Civello - Master Piercer
New Orleans native Bryan Civello assisted Angel from the time of her arrival in New Orleans in 1993, and was the first Rings of Desire apprentice and (for a while there, only) employee. Bryan helped Angel to build ROD from the ground up, literally.
Over the course of his 11 years at Rings of Desire he performed thousands of piercings. Bryan is an excellent, highly skilled and experienced piercer.
Bryan is a motorcycle enthusiast, both riding and building custom bikes. He has attended bike runs in Sturgis and Daytona. He is known for his quirky sense of humor and his infectious laugh. (Don't worry, it is the only infectious thing about him!)
Moved to Infinite Body Piercing in Philadelphia, PA. See Jen there!
Just Jen - Associate Piercer
Jen was the most recent staff member piercer to join the crew, coming on board in 2000. And she was the first and only female apprentice Angel took on since opening Rings of Desire in 1993! She is a multi-talented artist and a heck of a fun person.
Jeff, was one of our favorite guest piercers, and came to us from Santa Fe, New Mexico where she and her wife Kitten own a piercing shop called AWARE (a-wa-ray.)
She is a California native, who once worked at Gauntlet in Los Angeles. Jeff was a senior piercer there for several years before moving to New Mexico.
Jeff is an avid snowboarder and former top ten collegiate athlete in track and field.
If you came to Rings of Desire during Mardi Gras 2000, you may have seen Jeff's cheerful face at the counter.
Kitten also came to us from Santa Fe, New Mexico where she and her wife Jeff own a piercing shop called AWARE (a-wa-ray.)
She is a California native, who also once worked at Gauntlet in Los Angeles. Kitten is a trained mortician who decided to make a career in the body piercing field.
She also is an avid snowboarder which seems to be the thing to do in Santa Fe.
If you came to Rings of Desire during Jazz Fest 2001, you may have seen Kitten's cheerful face at the counter. She and Jeff took turns visiting us here in New Orleans.
Chris Holland visited us periodically when we could get him away from his pets at home: Pepé, who is Angelo's brother, and Pembrose the cat.
Pictured with Chris is Agatha, who sadly is no longer with us.
Chris Holland has his own screen printing business called Monkey Drive as well as his own International Fan Club.
For information on either, e-mail Chris Holland directly.
Jump - guest piercer
Kevin, whose list of aliases include
Lil 'Keb and the Kevinator, has been piercing since before the turn of the century.
Kevin joined in for several guest piercer stints at Rings of Desire.
He has pierced out of Cincinnati's two most highly accredited studios, and he also works in Philadelphia at Infinite Body, with former Rings of Desire staffer, Jen.
Kevin's concern for his client's safety, comfort, and awareness has earned him a spot on the most-sought-after piercer list. He'll even get naked and dance to the Jackson Five if it makes you feel better. Woo-Hoo!
