What is a B & B & P? A
B & B & P was going to be my "Bed & Breakfast & Piercing"
establishment
It was a GREAT IDEA, in theory....
Piercees
were going to come and stay here in paradise, and get pierced.
Unfortunately the practical aspects have outweighed the "great idea"
and I am not actually open for business.
Photo consults
by email are helpful, but not difinitive.
In-person consults are required before I could determine suitability for certain
piercings.
Also, I don't stock the same huge jewelry selection as I did in the US.
So, maybe I COULD pierce you, but then not have access to the appropriate size
and style of jewelry for you!
ALSO, the water quality here is not one of the finer characteristics of this
area.
I don't brush my teeth in it, and I wouldn't feel comfortable to pierce anyone
and then have them bathe in the local water.
Unexpected situations such as sterilization equipment failure due to some differences
in electricity (an ongoing problem),
my need to travel for an emergency, or other unforeseen or unfortunate events
could lead to you coming all this way, and not getting pierced!
It is simply too far and and too great an expense and too disappointing to have
you travel here, only to find out I couldn't pierce you.
All of that is just too stressful for me, as well, because I always want to
do a great job.
Therefore I am not open for business here. Sorry....
So, where
can you go to get pierced now? See: the referrals page.
The
Yucatan: Where
is it? In Mexico. We are located about 635 miles due south of New Orleans,
near the Gulf Coast.
Merida is about 3.5 hours from Cancun, by car.
There's ALL
kinds of Amazing Sights
around here:
There's incredible ancient Mayan ruins here and you MUST see
some during your visit!
Celestun
has beaches, seafood, and flamingo colonies. We visited there--it was gorgeous,
The center of the
city "Centro"
is about 15-20 minutes away. Very historic and beautiful.
Dzibilchaltun has awesome ruins with a ground-level cenote and it is very
nearby.
Uxmal
is mind-blowing ancient Mayan ruins about an hour away. Wow!!!!!
We've been to Izamal
and found it to be entirely charming and beautiful.
The famous pyramid/ruins at Chichen
Itza is about an hour away.
There are a variety of cenotes,
and there's caves,
too.
The beach at Progreso
is about 15-20 minutes away.
If you would
like to stay for a time in Centro, I suggest Los
Arcos--a beautiful B & B in a great downton location.
Check out the
other links on that website to see more about the city and surrounding area
